Stephen VanSuch

Stephen VanSuch, CPFA, CFP

Managing Director/Investments, Branch Manager

Steve began his investment industry career in 1994 and joined Stifel in 2023. Prior to joining Stifel, he worked at Merrill Lynch. Leveraging his extensive experience, he focuses on clients’ goals and concerns, offering a goals-based wealth management approach, broad resources, and cutting-edge technology that complements his ability to help clients pursue their short- and long-term goals.

Steve offers financial guidance for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and charities. His goal is to thoroughly understand clients’ financial priorities and build a relationship built on trust. He does this by listening intently to clients to fully understand their current situation and future objectives and potential concerns. He then creates customized strategies designed to help them pursue their financial and life goals. To do this effectively, Steve prides himself on following a disciplined wealth management process built on time-tested investment principles while allowing the flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing economic climate. His service-focused approach combined with tailored financial strategies is designed to help clients concentrate on their priorities at each stage of their lives.

Steve earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., which identifies those individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination.

As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, Steve adapts strategies designed to combine customized investment management with the ability to quickly react to market conditions for clients who choose discretionary advisory services. To qualify for this, he demonstrated a commitment to comprehensively addressing his clients’ individual investment needs, complementing investment knowledge and portfolio management skills, and maintaining an outstanding record of client service.

The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy. Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program. Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio. You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.
